This Glenburgie was distilled in 2008 and bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Exceptional Cask range, as the 100 Proof Edition #21. It matured for 15 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt and comes at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtering.
The nose shows dark cherries, raisins, mocha, warm spices and a hint of sweet oak. On the palate are chocolate, plums, caramel and ginger, with well-integrated sherry notes. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa, candied fruit and soft spice.
