This is a single cask Glenburgie, distilled on 27 March 2008 and bottled in the spring of 2017 after nine years in a bourbon hogshead. It comes from the Claxton's The Single Cask series, and only 340 bottles were filled.
The nose shows malted barley, wholemeal biscuits and sweet pastry, with a touch of fresh pine and fennel. The palate is lively and fruity, with sweet grapefruit, melon and pear drops, a little chewing gum and more pine. The finish is fresh and herbal, with sage, lavender, lemon peel and candied fruit, and runs to a medium length.
