Glenburgie – 2008 Berry Bros. & Rudd Single Cask (70cl, 58%)

This Glenburgie is a single cask bottling from Berry Bros. & Rudd, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023, with 199 bottles in the outturn. It matured in a bourbon hogshead and was then finished in a reserve wine cask from the Beykush winery in southern Ukraine. It is bottled at 58% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. Salted liquorice, cherries and grilled meats lead the nose, alongside plums and almonds. The palate is dry, with sea salt and leather, and the finish brings mixed nuts and more salted liquorice.
