This is a 24-year-old Glenburgie from Gordon MacPhail, released in its Connoisseurs Choice series. It was distilled in 1995 and matured in a single first-fill sherry puncheon until it was bottled on 5 February 2020 at 56.7%, without chill-filtration or added colour. Only 543 bottles were filled.
The nose has Christmas cake, dried plums and figs, cinnamon, clove and menthol oak. The palate is oily and creamy, with liquorice, honey, toffee, dried fruit, coffee and chocolate. The finish is medium in length and warm, with honey, wood and chocolate.
