This is a 25 year old Glenburgie, a Speyside single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels series, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The whisky was matured in bourbon casks and is bottled without added colour. The series revives labels that Gordon & MacPhail traditionally used for the whiskies of individual distilleries.
The nose combines vanilla and fresh green apple with lime zest, pineapple, peach and apricot, with a touch of ginger. The palate is soft and creamy, with pineapple, mango and peach set against lime zest and a light pepperiness. The fruity finish carries a hint of fresh mint and oak.
