This is a 27 year old Glenburgie, a Speyside single malt bottled at a cask strength of 58.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Gordon & MacPhail released it in the Connoisseurs Choice series.
The spirit was filled into a refill sherry butt in 1995 and bottled on 7 March 2023, giving 529 bottles from the cask.
It is described as amber in colour. The nose brings stewed raisins, blackcurrant jam and mixed nuts, with milk chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate come vanilla custard, fruit cake, baked apple and orange oil, leading to a medium finish of cocoa powder and dried fruits.
