A 33 year old single malt from Glenburgie, a Moray distillery near Alves. It was distilled in 1988 and bottled by Hunter Laing under its Old & Rare name, after maturing in a refill hogshead. The bottling is a run of 100 bottles at a natural cask strength of 45.7%, and it is non-chill-filtered. The nose is creamy, with apricot and vanilla, toasted coconut and tropical fruit salad. The palate is soft and fruity, light to medium in body, with notes of canvas, cotton, balsa wood and pencils, a little tobacco and charcoal, and a herbal edge towards the end. The long finish is mellow, with earth, tobacco, charcoal, paper and lemon zest doughnuts.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
