This is a 33 year old Glenburgie single malt from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range at 56.9% ABV. It comes from a single 1st fill sherry hogshead, and 219 bottles were produced. The Connoisseurs Choice range is made up of individually selected casks, bottled independently to show distillery character and cask influence. The nose pairs sultanas with raspberry and vanilla pod, then adds Seville orange peel, roasted coffee bean and walnuts. On the palate, sweet citrus gives way to aniseed, with ginger, cinnamon, poached pears and cocoa powder before white pepper. The finish is full and spicy, with lingering oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
