A 38-year-old Glenburgie from Speyside, distilled in 1986 and bottled in 2025 at 57.9% in the Connoisseurs Choice range from Gordon & MacPhail. It matured entirely in a refill American hogshead and is non-chill-filtered, with no added colour.
Red apple, vanilla cream and a little cocoa powder mark the nose, with a hint of citrus. On the palate come juicy apple and ripe blueberries alongside black pepper and balanced oak. The finish is of medium length, with soft oak and a clear note of mint.
