Glenburgie – 9 Year Old 2012 Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited (47.5%)

This Glenburgie is a single-batch Speyside single malt from Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 at nine years old. It was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled at 47.5% abv, with 800 bottles filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added caramel colouring. Glenburgie was founded in 1810, and most of its output goes into blends, so single malts appear only occasionally through independent bottlers. The tasting notes describe bitter grapefruit with almond, Danish pastry and vanilla custard.
