This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Glencadam, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 for SMWS as cask 82.50, under the name Savour a Summer Sunset. It is one of 215 bottles from a single refill bourbon barrel, at 62.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings pear drops, jelly tots, lemon bonbons and potpourri, with fresh pineapple and piña colada. The palate has jaffa cakes, fruit pastilles, peach yoghurt, custard apple and honey. The finish is tingling, with citrus peel, exotic fruit skins and a touch of nutmeg. With water, the nose turns to elderflower, yellow fruit and sherbet lemons.
