Glencadam Reserva De Madeira is a Highland single malt finished in Madeira casks, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made in small batches by the distillery's Master Distiller.
The malt was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks from the distillery's dunnage warehouses, then married in Madeira wine casks from Portugal's Madeira islands. It has natural colour and is not chill filtered.
The nose is cooked apple, bramble, custard tart and syrup sponge with nutmeg and berry coulis. The palate offers spiced fruits, cantaloupe melon and golden raisins with dark chocolate and ginger. The finish is long, with brittle toffee, mocha and chocolate truffle.
