This is a 10 year old Glenfarclas from Speyside, distilled in 2012 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 1.267, named From Bright Dawn to Dry Dusk. It comes from a single ex-bourbon barrel that yielded 244 bottles. The tasting notes follow the name from sweet to dry. The nose opens with Neapolitan ice-cream, marshmallows and vanilla custard before citrus arrives in lemon pulp, lime leaf and lemon barley water. The palate moves from honey, carnation milk and lemon cup cakes to chilli, cumin, lemon zest and mint, with sugared almonds and burnt toffee along the way. The finish brings tobacco leaf, tree bark and cinnamon.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
