This is a Glenfarclas 105 single malt from Speyside, bottled in 1985 at 60% ABV in a one litre bottle.
The spirit was distilled in the late 1970s using direct fire, and it was mostly matured in Oloroso casks.
The nose has great depth, with sherry, a creamy, nutty character, honey on toast and a touch of smoky coffee. The palate is silky, with spicy, peppery oak, almond, praline, hazelnut, dried peel and fruit, plus a touch of Armagnac. The finish is long, peppery and nutty.
