A Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength from Speyside, bottled in the 1980s at 60% ABV in a 3 litre bottle, equal to 4.2 standard bottles. These large bottles were given as prizes to racing jockeys and were never released for general sale. Glenfarclas is one of the few distilleries to keep stills heated by direct fire. The nose has great depth, with sherry, a creamy nuttiness, honey on toast and a touch of smoky coffee. The palate is silken, with spicy, peppery oak, almond, praline, hazelnut and dried peels, and a hint of Armagnac. The finish is long, peppery and nutty.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
