This is Glenfarclas 105 Highland Malt, an official distillery bottling from around 1997, at 60% ABV. It is gold in colour.
Cake and toffee arrive first on the nose, followed by sherry, apple and caramel, with cider apple skin, stout and a hint of seawater. The palate is powerful yet balanced, coating the mouth with caramel, dried orange and oak.
The finish is long.
