Glenfarclas – 105 (20cl, 60%)

Glenfarclas 105 is a cask strength single malt from Speyside, bottled at 60% in a 20cl bottle and supplied in a tube. It is matured in sherry casks and is non-chill-filtered, with no colouring added. The distillery sits at the foot of Ben Rinnes and distils twice in direct-fired stills. The casks it favours are European oak that previously held Oloso sherry from a family-run Spanish bodega. On the nose there are apple and pear with oak and dark toffee. The palate starts dry and powerful, with pronounced spice, sherry fruit and a touch of oak. The finish is smooth for the strength, warming, with a fine note of smoke.
