A 12 year old Speyside single malt from Glenfarclas, distilled in 2012 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 1.289 under the name The Pinnacle of Pineapple. It is a single cask bottling at 57.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask, and 204 bottles were filled.
The Society's tasting description reads like a mountain climb through pineapple, ripe melon, marshmallow and baked apple, with sultanas and light treacle along the way. It ends on dark chocolate, ginger biscuits and candied peel soaked in maple syrup.
