This is a 12 year old Glenfarclas from Speyside, distilled in 2013 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 1.305 in its 2026 Creators Collection. It is a single cask bottling of 200 bottles, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent eight years in ex-bourbon wood before moving to a first fill Spanish oak hogshead that had been seasoned with oloroso sherry. The nose offers heather honey, maple candies, pomegranate molasses and strawberry compote, then autumn leaves, pine forest and nutmeg. On the palate, candied almonds, sticky toffee pudding and crème caramel are balanced by tangy, floral notes, ending with spiced prunes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
