This is a 12 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Glenfarclas, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is fresh and light, which can give the impression of a gentle dram, but the palate is full-bodied and has more weight than the nose suggests.
On the nose there is sherried fruit, a spicy sweetness and a hint of sappy oak. The palate brings more sherried fruit and oak, with a touch of peat and a sweet character running through it. The finish is long and spicy.
