Glenfarclas – 12 Year Old (20cl, 43%)

Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 20cl bottle, bottled at 43% without added colouring. It is matured in sherry casks, and the distillery selects European oak casks that previously held oloroso sherry. Glenfarclas stands at the foot of Ben Rinnes near Ballindalloch. It was founded in 1836 and has been in family ownership since John Grant bought it in 1865. The nose is fresh and light, with fruity sherry notes, spicy sweetness and a touch of juicy oak. The palate is full, with sherried fruit, oak and clear sweetness. The finish is long and aromatic, leaving a lasting spiciness.
