Glenfarclas 12 Years Old is a Highland single malt from the independent, family-owned Glenfarclas distillery. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Sherry casks shape its character, bringing dried fruit, nuts and spice.
The nose combines dried fruit, orange, honey and vanilla with sherry, nuts and soft oak. The palate is full and round, with raisins, dried apricot, caramel and orange peel, plus a little almond, spice and oak. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, sherry, vanilla and soft spice.
