Glenfarclas – 12 Year Old

Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, originally bottled for export and travel retail markets. It is made at the foot of Ben Rinnes, where the distillery has stood since 1836 and has been run by the Grant family since 1865. Direct-fired stills and long maturation in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks give it a richly sherried, fruit-forward profile. It was named Best Sherried Whisky at the Single Malt World Cup in 2006 and won Gold at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival in 2007 and 2008. Expect dried fruits, toffee and gentle spice, then a smooth finish of raisins, soft vanilla and subtle oak.
