Sherry butt
A single cask Glenfarclas, 14 years old and distilled in 2011, from a sherry butt that yielded 255 bottles. It was released in 2026 in a 70cl bottle under the Pot Still Vienna name, which is unusual for a distillery that keeps its bottlings to its own official releases. It is a richly sherried Speyside malt. The nose is slightly earthy. The palate has a thick, weighty mouthfeel with charred oak, autumn leaves, bitter cocoa and pipe smoke. The finish is slow and warming, with spent coffee grounds and dark chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
