Glenfarclas – 15 Year Old Cheltenham Festival (70cl)

A 15 year old Glenfarclas single malt made for the Cheltenham Festival. It nods to the 15 past champions of the Festival's Glenfarclas Cross Country Steeple Chase, listed in chronological order, and opens a trilogy marking the distillery's renewed three-year sponsorship of the races. The edition is limited to 3,000 bottles, and the label echoes the 3 litre bottle given to the winning owner and trainer. The nose is sherried and lightly peated, with butterscotch and a hint of dried fruit. The palate is full-bodied, balancing sweetness, malt and peat, and the finish is long with a smoky sweetness.
