Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV, the strength George Grant's grandfather preferred.
The sherry influence shows in dried fruit, soft malt sweetness and warming barrel spice, with a Christmas cake character.
On the nose there is spiced sponge cake, Danish pastries, dried fruit, green apples and custard. The palate brings apple jam, plump raisins, sticky dates, baking spices and brown sugar.
