Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's Classic Range, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks and has a rich golden amber colour. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
A full body and a balance of sherry sweetness and malt define it, with dried fruit and oak spice alongside fine, peaty smoke.
On the nose sherry leads, with light butterscotch, dried fruit, linseed oil and peat, and faint lavender and pear. The palate is full, with roasted oak, juicy raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long, sweet and clearly sherried.
