Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured in sherry casks and bottled at 46% vol in a 70cl bottle. Glenfarclas is one of three distilleries still in long-standing family ownership, and John Grant's descendants have owned it since he bought it in 1865.
The colour is gold. The nose offers wet grain, a little sherry, plenty of fruit and a light vanilla note. The palate is very malty, with gentle pepper, vanilla, fruit and a touch of smoke at the very end. The finish is long, creamy, malty and well balanced.
