Glenfarclas 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the independent, family-run Glenfarclas distillery, matured in Oloroso sherry casks.
The sherry influence runs deep through the whisky, which is rich and fruity with some spice.
The nose offers beeswax, blackcurrant, fresh raspberry and honey-glazed doughnuts. The palate is creamy and sweet, with croissant, raisin buns, strawberry jam and butter, followed by apple jam and sticky dates. The finish is long, with dark brown sugar, raisins and polished oak.
