Glenfarclas – 16 Year Old (46%)

This is a Speyside single malt in a travel retail edition, matured for sixteen years solely in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, without chill-filtration or added colouring. Glenfarclas was founded in 1836 at the foot of Ben Rinnes and is run by the Grant family, now in its sixth generation. The distillery is said to have the largest pot stills in Speyside, which contribute to an oily, characterful spirit.
