This is Glenfarclas 17 Year Old, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV.
It is a deep amber, bright copper colour. The nose offers honey, stewed pear, beeswax and fresh malt, with hints of coconut-and-chocolate bar and cigar box on a second pass. The palate is buttery and almost oily, firm and full bodied, with orchard fruit and spice. It finishes with barley sugar and fine, drying tannins.
