Glenfarclas – 17 Year Old (43%)

Glenfarclas 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. It comes from the Grant family, who run Glenfarclas independently. It is bottled at 43%, without added colour and without chill-filtration, and its deep amber colour comes from the sherry wood alone. Seventeen years in cask give the softness of younger Glenfarclas bottlings more depth, with fine oak notes that have built up over time. It is described as sherry sweetness alongside delicate oak, with a long, lightly spicy finish.
