Glenfarclas – 190th Anniversary (51.4%)

Glenfarclas 190th Anniversary is a Speyside single malt marking the distillery's 190th anniversary and completing its anniversary trilogy, which began with the 175 in 2011 and the 185 in 2021. Distillery Manager Callum Fraser and Managing Director Douglas Belford chose 78 casks spanning five decades, some from the 1970s, and married them together. It is limited to 15,000 bottles. It is bottled at 51.4% ABV, a nod to the old 90 British Proof measure the distillery used for its first 154 years, and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose brings green apple, sherry sweetness, Christmas cake spice and tobacco leaf. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, with fruit, caramel, toffee and late dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming.
