Glenfarclas – 190th Anniversary Release (70cl, 51.4%)

Glenfarclas 190th Anniversary Release is a single malt from the Speyside distillery, marking 190 years of distilling at Glenfarclas. The distillery was first licensed in 1836 and has been owned by the Grant family since 1865, now in its sixth generation. It is bottled at 51.4% ABV and limited to 15,000 bottles worldwide. The family has long used the same family-run bodega for its cask selection. The nose has toffee, green apple, sweet sherry and vanilla. The palate is rich and powerful, with dried fruit, Christmas cake and sherried sweetness, and the finish is long and peppery with dark chocolate and figs.
