A 1961 Glenfarclas from Speyside, released by the distillery in 2007 as the first release in The Family Cask series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%.
The whisky was drawn from a single sherry hogshead, which yielded 159 bottles.
The nose is rich and fruity, and the palate is very sweet, close to toffee apple. It is described as a big whisky, suited to sitting with in front of an open fire.
