Glenfarclas – 1981 Port Cask Collector Series IV (70cl, 47.9%)

This is a 35 year old Glenfarclas from Speyside, distilled on 16th January 1981 and bottled on 19th May 2016 from a single Port cask, number 151. Only 521 bottles were released, each at 47.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is the fourth bottling in the Glenfarclas Collector Series, six whiskies that each represent one of the six generations of the Grant family, who still own the distillery. This one comes in a black box set with a metal coin bearing the portrait of George S Grant (1923-2002).
