Glenfarclas – 1982 Family Casks Release W17

This is a Speyside single malt from Glenfarclas, distilled in 1982 and bottled in November 2017 at natural cask strength. It is part of the Family Casks series and comes from a single refill hogshead. The whisky matured for more than three decades. That long ageing is said to have softened the influence of the oak and allowed the rich fruit character of Glenfarclas to come forward.
