Glenfarclas – 1983-2017 The Family Cask Single Cask 38 (70cl, 50.8%)

This is a single cask Glenfarclas from the 1983 vintage, bottled for the Winter 2017 release of the distillery's long-running Family Cask series. It is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. Cask 38 was a refill hogshead. The whisky is bottled at its natural cask strength of 50.8%, and the cask yielded 257 bottles. Refill casks of this kind are said to let the honeyed fruit, nuts and barley sugar sweetness of the spirit come through.
