Glenfarclas – 1986 Refill Sherry Butts

Glenfarclas 1986 is a Speyside single malt matured in refill sherry butts. It was distilled on 26 September 1986 and bottled on 19 May 2016, with an outturn of 1094 bottles. Refill sherry wood tends to give a more restrained influence than fresh sherry-seasoned oak, which leaves the distillery character prominent. It is typically described as combining dried and mature fruit with malt and sherry richness, along with spice and polished oak.
