A single cask Glenfarclas distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2017 at 52.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from cask number 13055, a sherry butt that gave 581 bottles.
It belongs to The Family Casks, a series of single cask vintage malts that the family-owned Speyside distillery launched in 2007.
The nose is punchy and floral, with well-aged Cognac, mochaccino, burnt rubber and gentle smoke. The palate is rich and textured, with toffee, port, damson jam and sherry, and the finish is long, with honey, sherry and rubber.
