This Glenfarclas was distilled in 1990 and bottled on 9 June 2021 after 31 years in a sherry butt. It is a single cask bottling from cask 9256, giving 615 bottles of 70cl at 51.9% ABV. It comes from The Family Casks, a series begun in 2007 for single cask releases at cask strength. The aim is to release at least one whisky from each production year, and the range reaches back to 1952. Glenfarclas is a Speyside distillery at Ballindalloch, founded in 1836. It has belonged to the Grant family since 1865 and matures its whisky almost entirely in former Oloroso sherry casks.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
