This Glenfarclas was distilled in 1991 and bottled on 21 October 2019 after 28 years in a sherry hogshead. It is a single cask bottling from cask 10269, giving 196 bottles of 70cl at 52.6% ABV. It is part of The Family Casks, a series started in 2007 for single cask, cask strength releases. The aim is to bring out at least one bottling from every production year, and the series goes back as far as 1952. Glenfarclas is a Speyside distillery at Ballindalloch, founded in 1836 and owned by the Grant family since 1865. Its whiskies are matured almost entirely in former Oloroso sherry casks.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
