Glenfarclas – 1993 Limited Rare Bottling 18 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Casks (70cl, 46%)

This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from Glenfarclas, taken from the February 1993 vintage and bottled on 7 November 2011 at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in Oloroso sherry casks, numbers 9, 10, 12, 72 and 73, and vatted into an outturn of 3,900 bottles. Glenfarclas was founded in 1836 at Ballindalloch by Robert Hay. It has belonged to the Grant family since 1865, and its whiskies are matured almost entirely in former Oloroso sherry casks.
