This is a 20-year-old single malt from Glenfarclas, distilled in 1994 and bottled on 24 August 2015 from a first-fill sherry butt. Only 120 bottles were filled, at 55.4% ABV, in 70cl bottles. It belongs to The Family Casks series, which presents single-cask bottlings at cask strength.
The nose shows plum sweetness, cinnamon and forest floor, with oak and nuts. The palate is soft and sweet, with leather, herbs and a gentle prickle. The finish is long and dry, with dried fruit, dark plums, orange and dark chocolate.
