Glenfarclas – 1995 The Family Casks Single Cask (70cl, 50.2%)

This is a 1995 vintage single malt from Glenfarclas, drawn from sherry butt no. 6651 and bottled in a 70cl bottle at 50.2% vol. The butt gave an outturn of 568 bottles, and the whisky is non-chill filtered. It belongs to the Family Casks series, in which the Grant family has released vintage malts from the early 1950s to 2014. Cask maturation differs from one year to the next. This release is sherry-matured, a style that suits the distillery's robust, fruity new-make, which is distilled in direct-fired stills and matured in traditional dunnage warehouses.
