A Glenfarclas distillery exclusive from the Speyside, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2020 at 14 years old for Spirit of Speyside 2020. It comes from a single Oloroso sherry butt, cask 2855, which gave 650 bottles at 58.2%.
The nose is full of sherry, with dark fruit such as cherries, blackberries and raisins, spice from the cask, and sweetness with caramel and honey.
On the palate the sherry is intense yet soft, with Amarena cherries, honey, almonds and caramel, a little oak spice and gently bitter chocolate. The finish is long and soft, with juicy cherries, dark chocolate, oak spice and honeyed sweetness.
