This is a Glenfarclas single malt distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2020 at 14 years old, in a 70cl bottle. It is a distillery exclusive, bottled for Spirit of Speyside 2020 at a cask strength of 58.2% ABV.
It was matured in an Oloroso sherry butt, cask 2855, and 650 bottles were filled. Glenfarclas is a Speyside distillery in Ballindalloch, owned by the Grant family since 1865.
The nose is full of intense sherry, dark fruit such as cherries, blackberries and raisins, with caramel and honey sweetness. On the palate come amarena cherries, almonds and bitter chocolate. The finish is long and gentle, with dark chocolate and oak spice.
