This is a 17 year old single malt from Glenfarclas, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2023 as part of the Family Casks series, release S23. It was matured in a fourth fill butt and bottled at 59.6% ABV, giving 420 bottles from cask 3034.
The Family Casks reflect the Grant family's ownership of the distillery.
The nose brings ripe apples and pears with honey, vanilla, gentle oak spice and floral touches. The palate is velvety, with toffee, caramel, butterscotch, figs, dates and raisins. The finish is long, with oak, cinnamon and nutmeg.
