This Glenfarclas is a yearly limited vintage edition dedicated to Christmas, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery chooses casks by the time they were filled, and for this edition that meant casks filled in December.
The whisky was married entirely from Oloroso sherry casks filled in December 2014.
The nose is full of strong sherry aromas, with malt, spice, fine nutty notes and pastry. On the palate it is malty, with herbs, toffee, dark chocolate and berry fruits.
