Glenfarclas 24 Year Old 2000 First Of The Millennium - Decanter Series 3rd Release (70cl, 47.4%)

This is the third release in the Glenfarclas Decanter Series, a five-part series selected by Peter Donnelly, Director of Pol Roger Portfolio, to celebrate five generations of Grant family ownership of the distillery. Each release comes in a crystal Glencairn decanter. The casks were filled on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at the turn of the millennium by the Grant family and distillery staff, and include a first-fill sherry butt. It is bottled at 47.4% ABV, at natural colour, with 600 decanters produced. The nose is sherry, nuts and spice. The palate is rich sherry with dark fruits and a hint of sweetness, and the finish is very long with oaky dryness.
